Because of this, flower color and form may vary — every garden becomes uniquely yours.
For best results:
• Use well-drained soil
• Provide full sun (6–8+ hrs daily)
• Keep soil lightly moist during germination
• Do not allow seedlings to dry out the first 2 weeks
Pollinator Friendly • Home Garden Sized Packet • Non-GMO
“Last average frost date in our area: mid-May”
ANNUAL MALLOW (Lavatera trimestris)
Annual Cottage Garden Flower • Height: 24–36 in • Bloom: Early Summer–Frost
Direct sow outdoors after last frost (recommended) or start indoors 3–4 weeks early.
Planting Depth: ¼ inch
Spacing: 12–18 inches
Germination: 7–14 days
Prefers full sun and average, well-drained soil. Avoid overly rich soil and fertilizer — plants will grow large leaves but fewer flowers.
Tip: Pinching young plants encourages branching and produces many more blooms.
Excellent cut flower and very attractive to pollinators.“Thin seedlings early — crowded plants will not bloom well.”
