Cosmos Seeds
Paws in the Garden – Dahlias & Photography
Grown and hand-harvested in Tioga County, Pennsylvania
These seeds were collected from plants grown in our garden and are naturally open-pollinated.
Because of this, flower color and form may vary — every garden becomes uniquely yours.
For best results:
• Use well-drained soil
• Provide full sun (6–8+ hrs daily)
• Keep soil lightly moist during germination
• Do not allow seedlings to dry out the first 2 weeks
Pollinator Friendly • Home Garden Sized Packet • Non-GMO
“Last average frost date in our area: mid-May”
COSMOS (Cosmos bipinnatus)
Annual Cut Flower • Height: 3–5 ft • Bloom: Summer–Frost
Direct sow outdoors after danger of frost, or start indoors 3–4 weeks early.
Planting Depth: ¼ inch
Spacing: 9–12 inches
Germination: 5–10 days
Cosmos prefer average soil and do NOT need fertilizer.
Rich soil produces leaves instead of flowers.
Tip: Do not overwater. Slight neglect actually produces more blooms!
Cutting encourages branching — the more you pick, the more they flower.
Excellent for pollinators and beginner gardeners.
